Wild Wild Rose - The Musical

Wild Wild Rose the Musical was adapted from the classic black and white movie of the same name produced in 1960, in turn adapted from Bizet's opera "Carmen". Directed by Wang Tian Ling, the movie’s plot telling of seduction, love and betrayal between a sensuous singer and mediocre musician was considered a daring one in society then. Winning accolades worldwide, the movie was shortlisted as the best Chinese film of the past century. Staying true to the original plot and featuring widely popular songs from the movie such as《卡門》、《蝴蝶夫人》、《說不出的快活》、this Chinese musical is a colourful extravaganza capturing both the on-stage glamour and catching glimpses of the helpless sorrow behind the nightclub entertainment scene. Wild Wild Rose The Musical stars Perry Chiu, the veteran Hong Kong theatre actress and Thomas Ong, our very own home grown star in his debut theatre act! Thomas Ong burst onto the entertainment scene in 1996 with his lead role in Wild Orchids and remains highly popular today. Educated women stay married

BETTER educated women are less likely to divorce their husbands than they were three decades ago.A Senate committee was yesterday told the risk of divorce was now higher for less educated women. Australian Institute of Family Studies director, Professor Alan Hayes, said this was a reversal of a previous trend. "In the 1970s and 1980s, better educated women were more likely to divorce," he told said. "The trend in recent years is that better educated women are less likely to divorce." Professor Hayes said international studies had shown that women who had married in the 1960s were less likely to have successful marriages than women who married from the 1980s onwards. He speculated that this was due to changing social attitudes about well-educated and economically successful women. Women who married from the 1980s onwards were also more likely to seek a balance between their work and family life. Under questioning by Family First Senator Steve Fielding, Professor Hayes explained some of the main reasons for relationship breakdown. These included family conflict, financial management, differing values, work pressures, entering relationships and parenthood at a young age and an experience of parental divorce. Professor Hayes also discussed co-habitation before marriage. "76 per cent of relationships now start with cohabitation," he said. "About half of those cohabitations over a five-year window end up in separation and about half end up in marriage. "About 8.8 per cent of marriages break down in the first five years." He also made the case for additional relationship education for young people and for a boost in relationship support programs. "The assistance to people who have experienced the breakdown of their parents' relationships is extremely important in breaking the inter-generational cycle," he said.

Top actress Oh Seung-ah(Kim Ha-neul) refuses to accept the Best Actress award at an awards ceremony after finding out that she is to share the prize with another actress. In the process, she makes a fool out of Seo Young-eun(Song Yun-a) who was there to hand out the award. Seo Young-eun is an extremely popular writer who has written corny dramas that have gained top ratings. But now she feels a need to change. She wants to write a drama series with depth. So she chooses to write about a drama that centers around a mental hospital. To get ideas for her script, she visits a mental institution only to run into Lee Gyeong-min(Park Yong-ha). Gyeong-min is conscious about the strange woman who keeps looking at him. He may look like someone from a well-to-do family but only the opposite is true. His family is very poor, and he’s the only breadwinner in his family. He had come to the hospital to borrow some money from his friend. During a meeting with the production team, Young-eun’s proposal for a drama based on a mental hospital setting is dismissed. Young-eun is about to go crazy because of the head of the drama department keeps insisting that she write a romance piece about a girl in love with a rich man, only to catch a chronic illness. Moreover, the writer is seethed with anger after finding out that the main lead will be played by Oh Seung-ah. Seung-ah feels that she’s unable to grow as a serious actress because the CEO of her management company is corrupt and too greedy. The one thing she’s been thinking about is to sign a contract with a different company once her current contract comes to an end. So she seeks out Jang Gi-jun(Lee Beom-su) who remembers Seung-ah. It was Gi-jun who had helped Seung-ah avoid a fraudulent scheme seven years ago when she was in her senior year in high school. Gi-jun company is on the verge of going under when Seung-ah decides to join his team. Seung-ah is intent on becoming a serious actress. Young-eun meets up with Seung-ah with a new proposal for a script. Young-eun criticizes Seung-ah for being a terrible actress. On the other hand, Young-eun is also criticized for having axed the director. Young-eun bumps into the young director, Gyeong-min, for the first time after seeing each other at the mental hospital, creating an awkward moment. They agree to work on a drama series together. And Seung-ah is to join them! ...................................................

Today is Zhou Kitchen first day opening. So, i decide bring Sam there and have our dinner. It cost $28.80+++. There are 68 dishes, ice-crem, dessert, cakes, sushi, sashimi, coffee, drinks and soup and dim sum. The beijing Duck is so delicious. Sam Leong, chef from Tung Lok appear...wow.......The food there are really tasty and delicious.Seafood are fresh and nice...$10 voucher given after the meal sia.....HIGH RECOMMENDATION........

Life is full of rule and regulation, is apply in Hospital as well. We have to save the patients first or follow the rule first? When you know the cause of the sickness and the patients cannot wait anymore, do you still go for the proper procedure first or just go ahead to save the patient first?

High Tea Buffet & Spore Flyer

Remember that time i and Kelvin have the breakfast buffet at Mandarin Hotel few years ago and it cost $70 per person and it really very very nice. Today, we try their high tea buffet and their service is good , food is ok only.After that, we heading to Spore Flyer.When the flyer reach the top and we can see the whole Singapore.........it is a good experience.

Remote control car(Kelvin)

Original prices is $299 and it sell $50 only.........Of course this is not for Leongzai.....When Kelvin saw it and he just bring it home without think twice.................He just like a little kid........:)

The speed of the car is super fast and the person advise us have to be very careful of it. So , we bring it to the event hall and start to test drive.....We are shocked when the car can speed very fast, especially when the car turn and it really can spin. Kelvin really enjoy it and i decide to buy a helicopter for him...hahaha.......

Batam

Second time go to Batam..remember 4 years ago, after i am back from Batam ,i discovered i am pregnant.......Sharon, Kelvin, Leongzai and my mother in law also going and we enjoying the oneday free and easy batam trip.........So next time, maybe we can go Bintan.

DVD player

Kelvin thought want to buy the pioneer DVD player but he said the speaker is very light, not so good. So he choose the JVC DVD player and the speaker is heavy. It cost $500++. For me those $100++ DVD player is fine with me. But Kelvin said there is difference of the sound effect when you play the song and movie. There is radio function as well. So this JVC DVD player put on our living hall and the Pioneer DVD player set(5 years old) move to our bedroom.........And my CD player in my bedroom need to move to leongzai bedroom already....Now i can enjoy the movie while lying on the nice and comfortable bed......so shiok.
